My Approach to Therapy - ACT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an office in Walnut Creek. My primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) but I bring all of my training and life experience to this work. I work with couples and individual adults and, among other things, I help people better understand themselves, improve their relationships with others, develop mindfulness skills, create better habits, and experience more meaning and joy in their lives.

I work with a broad range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, self-confidence (shame, perfectionism, imposter syndrome), addiction, men’s issues, midlife and aging, and making important lifestyle/health changes. If you are in a rut and can’t seem to climb out of it, if fear or old patterns are holding you back from living the full life you desire, I can help.

Some couples are navigating a life transition such as marriage, illness, or becoming parents. Some couples feel stuck in a difficult dynamic. Some just want to improve communication.
